Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Cottage Health.
Registered Nurse
The interview was an hour long and conducted remotely since I'm currently in the Bay Area. There were four interviewers on the call, and no other candidates. They asked questions one by one, and some were quite similar and tough to answer. The interviewers were really nice and easy to talk to. They let me know the interview results and gave feedback the very next day.
- Could you start by telling us about yourself?
- Can you describe a challenging patient experience you've had?
- Share an instance where you went the extra mile in your work.
Registered Nurse
The interview process started with a phone interview because I was moving from another state. The second interview was in person with two staff members and the manager. Cottage covered my travel expenses (flights, hotel, rental car) for the interview trip to California, which was appreciated. It's nice when employers consider who they hire beyond just needing a nurse.
- Can you describe how you handle stressful situations?
- Tell me about your previous experience.
Registered Nurse
It was a panel interview with 8 people, and each person asked one question. It was pretty intimidating, but if you're prepared, you should be fine.
- Tell us about your motivation for applying to this position.
- What makes you the ideal candidate for this role?
- Describe a situation where you embodied our core values.
