So, for the interview process, you really gotta prep. Do your homework on the company and the job itself. Then, get your answers ready and practice saying them out loud. Make sure you're dressed right and your tech gear is working. When you're talking to them, be cool. Say hi nicely, introduce yourself clearly. Pay attention to what they're saying. Talk about your skills well, ask questions if you don't get something, and show you're excited about the job. After the interview, send a thank-you note. Say thanks, tell them again why you're interested, mention stuff you talked about, and that you're looking forward to hearing back.

I had a family emergency before the interview but somehow the details got intertwined during the interview. Although it wasn't working, I'll always remember Mollie Dunner at least tried to make the best out of it. Out of every company I've interviewed with: Google, Amazon, Adobe, Palantir, Roblox, Bloomberg, etc. Mollie Dunner and Darshan Kothari at CoreLogic gave me the absolute most inclusive and effective experience I've had. This is especially even while having to go through a group panel interview with very talented aspiring engineers. I couldn't interview any further but I hold this interview with very high regard.

Applied in early June 2023 for a senior Java dev job in Montreal. The plan was a 3-week process, but it ended up taking 3 months. I had two main interviews after the initial recruiter chat. First, an external engineer and I did a pair programming session with TDD. Second, I spoke with the team lead and the main architect. After my final interview, I had to chase the talent acquisition team for an update after a whole month of waiting, which wasn't fair. They eventually said they picked someone with more industry experience. I definitely wouldn't recommend this company; it was a huge waste of time and they really lack consideration for candidates.

  • Could you write a SET program employing a TDD approach, and what optimizations or testable aspects can be considered?
  • What does V stand for in the MVC architectural pattern?
  • Can you explain what REST is?
