I applied for an internship in mid-October 2023. About 1-2 weeks after applying, I had a recruiter call. Turns out the specific internship I applied for was already filled, but the recruiter suggested another internship. A week after that, I had a digital interview with the hiring manager and another employee. The interviewers were nice, but it was evident I wasn't a good fit for the position since it wasn't my preferred field. I didn't receive a formal rejection notice until around January.

Pretty simple, 2 stages. A few weeks after applying, an HR manager called me for a phone interview. Mostly questions about my resume and career plans. About 2 months later, I was invited for an in-person interview. It was with the executive looking for a summer intern. The interview lasted about an hour and the questions were pretty standard for this kind of job. I heard back about a week later and got the offer.

2 phone interviews happened. One was with HR and another one was with the hiring manager. They were pretty casual and asked basic behavioral questions. The questions aren't very hard and they are basically looking to see if you fit with the company values. Both interviews were on the phone because I was too far from the office, however the second interview with the hiring manager is usually in person.
