Supervisor
The interview process includes basic experience-based questions, where they'll ask you to share personal examples of how you've handled difficult customers or coworkers. You'll typically interview with at least two managers before getting hired.
- Can you describe a situation where you had to address an unproductive coworker and what steps you took to manage it?
Supervisor
The job posting is open for anyone to apply and everyone gets an interview. The process can drag on. Often, it seems management already has a promotion in mind, but everyone still gets a chance to show their skills and what they're interested in.
- Did you complete the Costco Quiz?
- What is currently inside the fence?
Supervisor
The job opening was posted internally, both in the break room and online. I had to submit a letter of interest, and since I had only been at my current store for a short time, I added my work history to highlight my supervisory experience. Both times I interviewed, they called me in while I was on my regular shift. They don't give you a heads-up, so you always have to be ready. My first interview was rough because I wasn't prepared to be interrupted and gather my thoughts. For my second interview, the day after applying, I had notes ready to review during breaks. The assistant store manager started the interview, and then the front end manager joined. The assistant manager took notes and asked follow-up questions. They asked me behavioral questions, like how I handle conflict, and questions about COSTCO.
- Can you explain the types of memberships COSTCO provides and their associated benefits?
