The process was pretty easy — first, the application, then an interview if you are selected, and then you conduct the initial job training. During the interview, you will typically talk to your department manager. For example, after talking to the hiring team, I then had to speak with the manager of the department I was going to work in.

It was a panel interview. I think they prioritize hiring based on work culture and if you'll fit in, because training can be taught on the job. There's not much say in which area of merchandising you might be assigned to (like frozen foods, snacks, alcohol, etc.), so not much choice. It's fast-paced, demanding, and needs physical labor.

The hiring process was really smooth and simple. I sent in my application online and got a call back in under a week. They told me to wear business-casual to the interview, though most people showed up in regular casual wear. I had a two-part interview on the same day, and then I had to go off-site for a drug test.
