Everyone applying for the seasonal position comes in at the same time. You'll be interviewed one by one. If you pass the first interview, you'll move on to a second interview where they'll do your background check and make sure you meet all the requirements. Be sure to say you're available as much as possible, as this could lead to more hours or a job offer.

Since everyone at Costco starts from the bottom and works their way up, the interview is taken very seriously, almost like a management role. You'll face the same behavioral questions that I was asked for a full-time manager position with the City the following week. At Costco, everyone does a bit of everything, so expect frontline managers to interview you, not HR folks. If you make it past the first interview, there will be a second one with the Head Manager of the whole warehouse. They're essentially assessing if you have the potential to be a long-term employee or if they just need an extra body. They might ask you to come back later for another interview or send you to the other room for a drug test. They'll say they keep seasonal staff until January inventory, but people are let go daily after Christmas. They're always watching you. If you want to stay, be on time, do what you're told, and don't complain about the rough hours. You're there to cover for people on vacation and handle the busy holiday season. You'll be doing absolutely anything and everything.

I arrived early but forgot the interviewer's name. I waited in the break room for about 30 minutes until the manager came and apologized for the delay, explaining they were busy helping customers. During the interview, I learned the starting pay is $11.50, which is firm. The job is seasonal, with guaranteed 20-25 hours per week. After the season, they'll assess my performance to see if I can transition to a full-time role. Despite the initial wait, it was a good interview. The manager was relaxed, and it wasn't a two-person interview as I expected; it was just the food court manager. He had openings in his department and the meat department. He mentioned my next interview would be with the assistant GM, who wasn't available today but would call to schedule it.
