First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at CoStar Group.
Manager
I interviewed with three people and spoke with the recruiter a lot during the process. It had been a week since I heard anything after my last interview and I reached out to the recruiter who told me an offer letter was being drawn up. Later that day, I received an email apologizing and saying they decided to change the job description and go in a different direction. It was very unprofessional of the recruiter and really soured my opinion of the company.
- How would you handle competing priorities?
People Manager
The interview process started off really well. I heard back from the recruiter just a few days after applying. There were a few video and in-person interview rounds. After the final interview, the recruiter stayed in touch, letting me know I'd been chosen for the role and just needed to finalize a few things with the hiring manager. I ended up waiting for several weeks, only to receive a call saying they decided to go in a different direction. It felt like the recruiter strung candidates along and wasn't upfront about the actual process.
- What prompted you to leave your previous positions?
Assistant Manager
The interview process was very fun and productive. I enjoyed it and felt they asked good and interesting questions. I would definitely want to interview there again in the near future.
- Do you enjoy making coffee during your free time?
