So first, CoStar gave me a remote powerpoint about the position. Then I had a remote interview, and after that, the company flew me out for the on-site. At the on-site, I met two interviewers and then did a 2-hour writing assessment. The weird part was during the remote interview, the interviewer seemed surprised I applied for an associate role given my experience, but then after the on-site, the recruiter told me I didn't get the job for not having enough experience, even for associate. It feels like the project itself is a bit unclear, even to current employees. The feedback I got was mixed, and during the on-site, the interviewers were asking each other about new processes and task names. Didn't leave feeling great about the company or the project.

So the interview process had three parts. First, there was this virtual info session on Zoom, they talked about the company and the job and we could ask questions. Then, there was a virtual one-on-one interview. Finally, I had to go to the Richmond office for an in-person interview. This last part had a two-hour writing test. They gave me a prompt for a made-up web content piece and some info, and I had to write a 600-word article. They said I could fact-check and edit, and use the internet for research.
- Have you ever written scripts before?
- How would you deal with working in a startup where things change a lot?

The interview process was pretty straightforward and consisted of three stages. I had conversations with the hiring manager, the director, and one of the current team members. During these discussions, they asked about my past work history and provided insights into the company and the daily responsibilities of the position.
- Could you share some information about your professional background?
