The staffing firm was great, special thanks to Anne Riddle for being responsive and supportive throughout. She took time to understand my fit with the company and my goals, and worked with the client to find a good match. She kept me informed at each step, which I appreciated. She used Skype and met in person. I ended up taking another role, but she arranged a great opportunity for me.

This role had several rounds of interviews. I interviewed at Corporate Brokers before, maybe their process has changed since then. They conduct many interviews to really find the right fit, which I respect. As a staffing company, I think these competencies could be defined earlier. If your a fit for this industry, it's great. I didn't get an offer, and honestly, it wouldn't have been the right culture for me anyway. I did appreciate the feedback on why, which you don't get often. But those reasons should be obvious from the start for a staffing company, for an HR role.

Behavioral Technical Presentation

The interview process was super smooth, thanks to Brian Joiner and Victoria Velton from Corporate Brokers doing a great job getting everything ready. Communication between Corporate Brokers and the hiring company was excellent. They really did their homework on the role and made sure my feedback was heard the whole time. Brian and his team told me exactly what they were going to do and then followed through, which was really refreshing and built my trust fast. When your recruiter sets a high standard, it makes you want to bring your A-game too. The hiring company ended up deciding not to offer me the job because they felt I was overqualified to be happy in that specific role, but they're interested in talking to me again soon about a more senior position.

I arrived for the interview and met with the recruiter I was in contact with because the other guy was running late. Two other recruiters joined in the interview, but it was clear it wasn't planned. Then the person who was supposed to be interviewing me showed up towards the end and apologized for being late. Turns out that they were all hungover. They told me to email them if I was interested and that they would reply back. I never received a response and so I called the guy I was in contact with and left a voicemail. I received no reply.
