I sent my resume to a recruiter and then got an email for an online interview. After that, I had an in-person panel interview with about 6 people, who were unit managers and leaders.
- Can you tell us about yourself?
- What made you choose to work at Corona Regional?
- Which clinical rotation did you like the most and why?
Registered Nurse
The interview process was pretty straightforward and the questions were easy. The hiring managers seemed to really like me and agreed with a lot of responses saying good job, nice answer. I didn't get an offer and was extremely confused as to what exactly they were looking for.
- Describe a situation where you utilized critical thinking.
- What is your understanding of teamwork?
Registered Nurse
A recruiter reached out about a week after I applied. We set up an interview with a panel of 6 nursing leaders. It was a bit nerve-wracking, but it went alright, and they tried to make me feel at ease. They asked some questions I wasn't totally ready for, but I managed to come up with answers on the spot. The recruiter mentioned I'd hear back the next day, but it actually took a week.
- Could you start by telling me about yourself?
- What draws you to working in the ER?
- Describe a situation where you had to prioritize patients and explain your approach.
