Sales Manager
I got referred in and the recruiter gave me a quick call to ask some basic questions. After that, the hiring manager called me. The recruiter contact was a bit messy and we had to reschedule a couple of times due to travel, but otherwise it was smooth. The hiring manager call was about an hour and 15 minutes. They spent most of the time talking about their management style, the company, the products, and how the team is growing. Then they asked me some detailed questions about my sales, quota, deal size, and experience in the industry. I thought it went well and they said the next step would be another call with situational questions. I was supposed to hear back the following week, but didn't. The second week passed and I still hadn't heard anything. I sent a follow-up and was told they had more people to interview. Two weeks after that, I emailed again and the hiring manager let me know they had chosen someone else. I'm annoyed because as a referral from the industry, I didn't even get a face-to-face interview. The hiring manager didn't follow up or give me an update, and I don't think I would have heard back if I hadn't emailed. It's just common business courtesy to keep people informed. It's better to just tell me they chose someone else so I can move on instead of leaving me hanging for over a month. One thing I noticed that would have been a concern if I had moved forward is that they're adding a lot of sales positions, but cutting territories and adding more people to cover less ground. Plus, there are enterprise sales covering the same areas. It doesn't make sense for some cities and makes me wonder about earning potential. Something to look into if you're interviewing.

Sales Manager
The recruitment process at Cornerstone was professional, interesting and welcoming, way better than other companies I interviewed with recently. People there are interesting, impressive and welcoming, and also straightforward and honest, communicating regularly. It was a flawless experience; it's a company people should want to work for.

Sales Manager
After a successful phone screen, there were several emails exchanged with HR. The main concern was my lack of prior LMS sales experience, which is a bit of a closed-off environment. I presented my 20-year track record in top-tier High Tech enterprise software and development sales, argued effectively for considering external candidates, highlighted my experience selling to the exact same market they target, and mentioned my substantial book of business.
