Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Cornerstone OnDemand.
Marketing
The interview process consisted of a series of informal interviews. While they felt very relaxed, the lack of structure made me feel uneasy. It appeared the interview questions were generic, possibly copied from the internet. There was a team interview where only a few team members had their cameras on. I was asked random questions, and the team seemed reserved and very direct in their approach.
- What skills do you want to get better at?
Marketing
The whole process felt rushed, and the recruiter didn't make any effort to build rapport, coming across as robotic, rude, and unwelcoming. When I asked questions, the recruiter's responses were short and choppy. They also hadn't done their homework, asked questions, and then couldn't provide answers, even laughing at my questions.
- Can you give examples of how you provided value in your previous role?
- Tell me about your career path.
Marketing Strategist
The interview process was super fast and smooth. No long waits trying to guess if I nailed it. Veronica followed up quickly on what was next and was really friendly and answered all my questions. Everyone I talked to was upfront about the role's challenges, which was great. The managers seemed really proud and respected their colleagues a lot.
- How would you approach understanding the sales team's requirements for marketing and ensuring a successful partnership?
