The interview process was very smooth and to the point. The interviewer listened and it felt like an actual interview, which is rare today. There were multiple questions about APIs and my current role.

Behavioral Technical Presentation

The hiring process was pretty standard for a consultant role. It started with an email, then a quick phone screening. Over about two months, there were a bunch of phone/conference interviews. The final step was an in-person interview at their Santa Monica HQ, and they paid for everything. Most phone interviews were normal, but one guy from sales really wanted to get to know me better, which is kinda normal for sales trying to connect. They asked the usual stuff like strengths/weaknesses, background, and how my experience fits. A cool part was they asked for my thoughts on their business model and where they should be heading.

Behavioral Presentation

I applied online and had a first phone call for about 20-30 mins where the recruiter just checked if I had a relevant background and if I wanted the role. Then I had a second phone interview with the hiring manager. After that, I went onsite for a third interview. This one was pretty chill, more of a chance to chat with someone from the local team and get a feel for the company culture. The fourth interview was a case presentation where 4 people watched, some onsite, some online. The whole thing felt kinda long and a bit annoying because people kept asking the same questions. But overall, it was a good experience, mostly because the recruiter was amazing. She worked so hard and was super supportive. They should definitely pay her more. She handled my process and was wonderful.
