Behavioral Other

I had a phone interview first, and then I met with three people from the department. It was okay, but it turned out to be a fake interview because the recruiter admitted they had already hired a friend of one of the team members. If they had been honest from the start, neither side would have wasted time and effort. I could tell during my interview that my interviewers were just going through the motions because there wasn't actually a job for me, as they already had someone in mind. It's no wonder I didn't hear back from the recruiter until I reached out.

I found the job posting on Indeed and sent my application through the Cornerstone website. Someone reached out within a week and set up an interview for the following week. They gave very clear directions on how to get there and where to park. It was a bit unclear who exactly I'd be meeting with, though. I got there on time for my interview, which ended up being a surprisingly long 4-hour ordeal. I met with the manager, the director of accounting, the Controller, and the CFO. The Controller was quite unpleasant, which unfortunately ruined the whole experience for me and I definitely wouldn't consider this company again because of that interaction.

When the company had less than 100 employees, I went through a thorough interview process. I met with everyone on the accounting and finance team in one day. Afterwards, we had a lunch to see if I'd fit in with the team I'd be working with the most. Lastly, I met with the CEO for any final questions and to ensure it was a good fit on both sides.
