First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Corlann.
Social Worker
I found the interview process with the BOC to be very professional. The questions were competency-based and there weren't any surprises. It was helpful to prepare examples using the STAR approach beforehand. They provided feedback and the outcome of the interview very quickly.
- Can you share your experience, and please use the STAR method where applicable?
Registered Nurse
It was a really relaxed and good interview, they didn't ask super tough questions, it was more about scenarios. There was a panel of 2 people, and they totally made me feel comfortable. Just make sure you're prepared and you'll do great.
- Can you describe your previous experience working as a nurse?
Support Worker
It was a really quick and efficient interview process. There were about 5-6 people on the panel, and they all had their own questions. Some people who use the service also asked questions. Mostly they asked about my past experience and then about some hypothetical situations.
- Can you share your experience?
- Could you describe your background?
- What about your previous work history?
Social Care Worker
It was a really nice and welcoming place. The people interviewing me seemed genuinely interested in what I had to say and gave me plenty of time to respond. They really made it clear they were looking to hire people who are qualified and have experience with intellectual disability and autism.
- Can you discuss safeguarding vulnerable adults?
- What are your thoughts on HIQA standards and regulations?
