So first we'll have a quick chat about your resume and previous work, then you'll need to present your portfolio, and I'll want to know about your skills, both technical and soft. After that, tell me about yourself, why you're interested in this sector, what you think the sector needs, and how you got a referral.
- Can you walk me through your resume and previous work experience?
- Please present your portfolio.
- What technical and soft skills do you possess?
Project Architect
The interview at Corgan started off pretty chill and conversational, which made things feel nice and friendly. They asked a bunch of questions digging into the stuff on my resume, like what I did, what I achieved, and what skills I used in each job. Then we moved on to me showing off my portfolio and talking through some of the projects.
- What's your experience level with Revit?
Architectural Designer
I connected with the firm at a career fair. During the interview, I met with several lead designers and the head director of different departments. They discussed the daily life of an architectural designer at the firm and how different teams and the office collaborate. It was mostly an introduction to the firm and a get-to-know-you session.
- Could you introduce yourself?
- Describe your design process.
- What attracts you to our firm?
