First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Corgan.
Project Specialist
I applied for the Project Specialist role at Corgan online. About a week later, they reached out via email to set up an interview. The interview was over Microsoft Teams with two people who manage data center projects in Abilene and Dallas. They got back to me a week after that.
- Could you start by introducing yourself?
- Tell me about your design process.
- How do you approach decision-making?

So first we'll have a quick chat about your resume and previous work, then you'll need to present your portfolio, and I'll want to know about your skills, both technical and soft. After that, tell me about yourself, why you're interested in this sector, what you think the sector needs, and how you got a referral.
- Can you walk me through your resume and previous work experience?
- Please present your portfolio.
- What technical and soft skills do you possess?
Designer
The interview involved walking through my portfolio. They asked about my skills with different programs and software, my interests in certain types of work, and how proficient I am with Revit and other rendering software. There were also some easy, basic questions about my education.
- Could you describe your skill level with Revit?
- What other programs and software are you skilled in?
- What types of work are you interested in?
Architectural
This was the best interview process ever. It was pretty fast, with two rounds of interviews, and I received an official offer letter about a week later. I was interviewed at the Corgan, NY office. I thought I would be super nervous, but the interviewer was pretty comfortable to talk to. The whole conversation was open and casual. They asked pretty standard interview questions about my background, both academic and professional. Another part that impressed me is they also made a lot of introductions about their office culture, project types, and what kind of person they are looking for, which is exactly what I am looking for in terms of growth. The second interview happened 5 days after. It was more like a warm-up. I got to meet some people in the studio, got an office tour, and learned about the office culture. A verbal offer was announced and followed up by an official letter two days after.
- Could you introduce yourself?
- Are you more interested in Aviation or Data Center projects?
- Can you tell me about the projects you have done?
