Pharmacy Technician
A recruiter from CVS Health contacted me and reviewed my resume. I wish I had asked the recruiter to explain the position better because the interview felt like a waste of time for everyone. I was told it would be a panel interview and to bring extra copies of my resume. When I got there, the interviewer was 15 minutes late because a pharmacy student was giving a presentation. It wasn't a big deal. The interviewer was nice and explained the panel would include herself, three other pharmacists, a pharmacy technician, and two pharmacy interns. Once we started, the atmosphere in the room felt unwelcoming, and the initial questions weren't very relevant to typical interview openers. The interview was cut short after only ten minutes. They mentioned that the job would mostly involve talking to patients over the phone, not working in the clean room as I expected from the IV tech title and infusion center description. I mostly blame the recruiter for not clarifying what they were looking for. The panel implied they wanted someone flexible, but the reality is the job didn't fit my needs, and it wasn't about my willingness to cross-train. I didn't appreciate hearing laughter as I left the room; it was very unprofessional. Overall, I was disappointed, but I don't have any hard feelings because the position wasn't what I thought it would be.

Pharmacist
Had a really good experience with the staff, they were friendly and professional. I interviewed with the branch manager, clinical pharmacists, the director of pharmacy, and some support people. I got there around 9 AM and the interviews finished around noon. They showed me around the office and I met most of the people who work there.
- Can you tell me about your career interests?
Pharmacist
My interview process started with a phone call from their Senior Talent Acquisition Partner. About a week later, I spoke with the Branch Manager of the location. Following that, I had interviews with their VP of Pharmacy, National Director of Pharmacy, and a field Pharmacist. It felt disorganized because they all asked the same questions and didn't seem to coordinate. They were also disrespectful of my time and my current employer's time, with the Talent Partner calling my cell and expecting me to speak with someone else on short notice, despite me being at work. The process began the week before Thanksgiving and wrapped up on December 30th. They never discussed salary, relocation, or compensation. The Talent Acquisition Partner seemed uninformed and couldn't answer basic questions about the role. At one point, they flew the Branch Manager to my area, and I expected a contract offer, but instead, we just had lunch. I took a day off work, drove two hours, and she mostly talked about office gossip. When they finally made an offer, the salary was below industry standards. I tried to negotiate, but only the Talent Partner was available to speak, and he couldn't provide details on benefits or costs, leading me to believe he was an outside contractor. I never spoke with an official HR representative.
- Could you describe the most challenging situation you've encountered?
- Given your four-year absence from home infusion, are you confident in your current skills for this area?
