Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at CooperSurgical.
Director
The first part of the interview process was very quick and efficient. Solid interviews with great questions. Then, the process slowed way down. I kept being told I was a very active candidate. This went on for over a month and half. I kept being told I would hear next week. It lasted way too long
- Can you describe a time you implemented new technology?
- How have you managed change within your teams?
- Tell me about a situation where you introduced new processes and successfully gained buy-in.
Director
The recruiter reached out and I moved through the process quickly. I interviewed with the hiring manager, and it seemed to go really well. They even gave me feedback on next steps and told me exactly who they wanted me to meet next. But then, I was totally ghosted. I sent a few follow-ups, even just asking for confirmation if I was still being considered, and I would have appreciated any feedback, but I never heard back.
- Can you share a bit about yourself and your experience?
- What are your preferred working conditions, and what are some things you dislike in a work environment?
Director
Started with an HR screening, then had 4 video calls with people from different teams and 1 video call with the hiring manager. Got a verbal offer about a week after the last interview. The official offer came 2 weeks after the verbal one because the HR person was out of the office.
- Can you describe your experience in this field?
- What is your experience within the industry?
