Some spots have open interviews, so you just need to bring your application. Others might ask for a phone number or give you a time to call. They'll then talk to you and ask if you're in school, about your personality, and your availability (weekends are a plus). If they hire you, they'll ask when you can start and give you a training manual to review. The whole thing was pretty fast and mainly focused on how you'd fit into the company. It was straightforward and easy. Great place.

When I applied to Cookout, the location wasn't built yet. They had a tent set up on the building site with tables where the General Manager and District Manager were available from 2-5pm to hand out applications. I got mine, filled it out, and returned it the next day. That evening at 9pm, I got a call back for an interview scheduled for the following day. I went in and was interviewed by the District Manager I'd seen at the site. It was a friendly chat where they asked about my hobbies, personal skills, experience, and my reasons for wanting to work at Cookout. They also asked if I'd be willing to train at a different location while the new Cookout was being built, and I said yes. I was hired and then asked to do a background check.

They asked normal questions and were very friendly. They started by asking me to tell them a bit about myself, then asked what got me interested in being a cook.
