Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Cook Medical Inc.
R&D Engineer
It was a standard interview, pretty easy to get ready for. Make sure you know your resume, your strengths and weaknesses, how you want to come across in personality questions, and do some research on the company and you should be fine. The interview felt more like a conversation with the people interviewing you, and overall it was a good experience.
- What is your understanding of Cook?
R&D Engineer
The interview process started with a phone screen, mainly checking alignment with the job description. Next, a second round with the hiring manager via Teams went into more detail about the job. Finally, there was an onsite interview at the facility, lasting about 2 hours with leadership, covering technical aspects, behavioral questions, and company culture fit.
- Can you share an instance where you missed a deadline?
Research and Development Engineer
The interview experience was really negative. One of the interviewers was quite rude and seemed completely uninterested. When I got nervous and stumbled on an answer, he made it worse, almost like he was trying to make me look foolish. It wasn't a pleasant interaction.
- Could you tell me what material you'd select for the design of *specific product*, and explain your reasoning?
