First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Cook Medical Inc.
Clinical Specialist
I applied online and then had an initial chat with HR about benefits and pay, where they asked about my past experience. Next, there was an in-person interview where I presented on a topic I enjoy. The final in-person interview involved a presentation about a specific Cook product. The whole process was super quick, wrapped up in about 2-4 weeks.
- What makes you want to work for Cook?
- Could you discuss Cook's competitors?
Clinical Specialist
It was a long process with no feedback. When I reached out to HR, they mentioned the hiring team hadn't provided feedback. It started with a screening, followed by an interview with three managers, which felt confusing with the questions asked.
- Can you describe a typical day in your work?
Clinical Specialist
First, there was a phone interview with HR/Recruiter from the home office. They were reading from a script, which didn't quite match what the managers said in the in-person interview. This made the second interview a bit off because the job wasn't described accurately. Then, about 5-6 weeks later, I met the managers for an in-person interview at a hotel in Portland.
- Can you do a 5-10 minute presentation on the clinical aspects of the product?
- Are you aware that this role, while called 'clinical', is actually a sales position?
- Can you describe your experience with a 'team' approach to management, as the three managers mentioned?
