First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Cook Medical Inc.
Engineer
I went through three interviews, but then they ghosted me. I tried following up with thank you emails after each interview, and even sent more emails to different people I talked to for a month after the last one. I never heard back from anyone. It was super disappointing because I thought I had good conversations with everyone. Total waste of my time.
- What makes you want to work for Cook?
Innovation Engineer
It was a really long and annoying process. First, an HR screen which was fine. Then I had a phone call with a manager who was super rude and late, I actually had to call him. After that, I went on-site for a presentation with 8 people. The same day, I had panel interviews with 3 different groups, each group had 5-7 people. Then, I was asked back to talk with leadership, which went well. But then, nothing. No updates for weeks. I followed up and finally got a call saying management decided to put the position on hold or get rid of it. That was the end of it.
- Can you tell me about a weakness you have? And can you tell me about another weakness?
Engineering Co-Op
I went to my college career fair and spoke with Cook Medical. They had an on-site interview for me after an initial career fair chat, even though there were group interviews for other candidates. My on-site lasted from 9 AM to 12 PM and included four interviews: a 30-minute one with HR, a 45-minute one with two engineers, another 45-minute one with two engineers from different departments, and a 1-hour lunch interview with an engineer. Tours of the office were included between interviews with the HR person and the second group of engineers. Everyone was really nice.
