The interview process was pretty straightforward. The hiring manager would ask me to head to the lobby and either call them or have the front desk do so when I got there. The interviews involved four staff members who asked me typical scenario-based questions. Then, there was a second round of interviews with the managers.

Interview process was a bit all over the place. The recruiter didn't get back to me after my initial email, so I had to follow up several times to get a response. I was really hoping to join this company. After I followed up, they scheduled an interview, but it didn't go well about halfway through. I had applied for a position that I felt was a good fit for my skills, but they said I wasn't suitable. I don't agree with that, and I believe empathy isn't something you can just teach like other skills. I'm confident I have plenty of both. So, I felt patronized and was told my resume would be passed along to directors, making me think I'd at least get another interview, but that didn't happen. Honesty is super important to me in interviews, but it feels like hospitals now prefer candidates who act like they're perfect, which isn't real. We live in a world where we have to 'sell ourselves' more than be honest. The way I was treated, in a condescending manner, has just made me want to find a better place to work.

The interview process was explained okay, but they really messed up the experience for us. They kept rescheduling the video interview by email. They told me to get on Zoom 20 minutes early to make sure it worked. Then, 5 minutes before, they sent a new Zoom link via email, which I didn't get because I was already in the first meeting. They tried calling my cell, but I had it on silent. When the other candidate and I were still waiting 10 minutes past the start time, I saw the email with the new link. The interview was with nurses from the unit, and they kept muting themselves and laughing while I answered questions. One time, they were so distracted I had to repeat my answer three times. One of them just said 'Not really' when I asked for more details. The case study was also harder because the interview team wasn't ready. They'd have really long pauses before asking the next question.
