I applied online, and a recruiter set up an interview for me straight with the hiring manager. The hiring manager told me about the company and the process. Then, I was given a take-home test that involved analytics. After that, I had a 2.5-hour video interview with five different people from the Brokerage Operations team. I got a generic rejection email, which I found disappointing given the time I spent preparing.

Behavioral Technical Presentation

Started with a recruiter call, then a chat with the hiring manager, then more emails from the recruiter. I pushed back on the Top Grading part and offered to stop, they said it was fine. Then, after a lot of waiting, had an interview that was supposed to be 'Top Grading' but wasn't really. It felt off because they were trying to get manager contacts, which I'd already told the recruiter I wasn't comfortable with. They said it was okay to just talk about my resume generally, but in the interview, they brought up the manager contact thing again, which really soured the experience. Combined with negative employee reviews I saw and how the interview felt, I got more hesitant about working there. It's tough to really judge a company with so few interactions. They're doing interesting work in the trucking industry, but the constant delays and rescheduling for the interview, plus the interview itself feeling awkward with unclear questions that only made sense after a couple of tries, just ruined it for me. They ended up going with other candidates, which was honestly a relief since I wasn't sold on the work environment and would have needed more chats to feel it out, even though building a program management org sounded appealing.

The hiring process was smooth and efficient. My recruiter was great, always communicative and on top of things. It included two phone chats, a data analysis take-home test, and then a final 4-round interview loop. Everyone I spoke with was friendly, answered my questions, and made me feel at ease. The whole thing wrapped up in under a month. I finished the interviews on Friday and got the good news on Monday morning.
