First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Convoy.
Account Coordinator
They did a good job keeping me informed about my standing in the process, and it all went pretty smoothly. I spoke with someone from HR, the hiring manager for the department, a few people on that team, and then one person from a different department to get an outside perspective.
- What's your approach to prioritizing your workload?
- Can you share an instance where you demonstrated a sense of urgency?
Account Coordinator
I applied online and got a call from the recruiter for an initial phone chat. It lasted about 30 minutes and covered the job basics and company info. After that, I was given a written and analytical assignment to do in a couple days. I sent it back and a few days later they set up an in-person interview at Convoy's office. It was about 3 hours and I met several people from sales and account management. The whole thing was pretty nice. I swear like ten employees greeted me when I got there, plus my recruiter popped in. It was enjoyable. The questions were pretty standard, with a few tricky ones mixed in. I didn't get the job, but the process was smooth and everyone was helpful and welcoming. I would recommend against making the assignment mandatory before the interview, though. Since I didn't get hired, it felt like a waste of my time.
- Can you share an instance where you had to delegate tasks to colleagues?
Account Coordinator
I had a phone screen, then a one-hour homework assignment, and finally an in-person interview at their Seattle office. The homework felt like a reasonable test of the skills needed. However, the in-person interview was quite awkward. The recruiter said someone would meet me at the Convoy floor, but when I arrived, no one was there and I had to wait around, unsure of where to go. Someone eventually showed me to the room, but I already felt uneasy. The interviewers asked very open-ended questions and didn't offer any feedback on my answers, which added to the discomfort. It was the most uncomfortable and unwelcoming interview experience I've had recently.
- Can you share an instance where you recently took the initiative on a task or project?
