The hiring process at Convergys was pretty bad. I applied on a Wednesday and they called me the very next day, Thursday. The recruiter chatted about my resume and job details and we set up an in-person interview for Monday, and they promised an email confirmation. I never got it. Then, on Friday, while I was working, the recruiter called and left a super mad voicemail saying I missed my interview that morning. They said I had until noon to call back with a good excuse, or my application was out. Obviously, I called back and told them THEY messed up the scheduling, didn't send the email, and I wasn't interested in working for a company that botched their hiring like that. Never heard from them again.

This was for a work at home CUSTOMER SERVICE/SALES job. I checked Glassdoor beforehand, but some questions I wasn't expecting since previous interviewers didn't list them or weren't asked them. I included them in my 'interview questions' because they caught me off guard. First, I had to fill out an application online at convergys.com and then complete a computer requirements test by downloading software. Next, a recruiter contacted me for a webcam interview where I answered pre-recorded questions, with no live person. Then, a recruiter called for a phone 'pre-interview' to go over my resume and availability. We then scheduled an 'official interview' for the next day, where I'd be asked technical and behavioral questions. After the official interview, I was offered the job. They said I'd get a drug screen and background check, followed by an official job offer, and then requirements for a headset, USB flash drive, and monitor size. Two days before training, I'd receive the training class instructions. It's a very thorough process for a remote job with many steps, but if you're not doing drugs, have no arrests, and have the required tech, you can get it.
