It was a really quick and fast process. After filling out an online form, I had my initial HR round. After clearing that, I took an aptitude test, followed by my final operations round. The whole interview process was completed on the same day.
- What motivated your departure from your previous employer?
Analyst
I was contacted by a recruiter on LinkedIn in September 2017. Within a few weeks, I had onsite interviews with four people: a senior analyst, a manager, and two directors. They were all professional and made me feel like a good fit. I completed a case study for them. After the interviews, they told me my background was a better fit for a different department and I'd need to speak with another hiring team. While I was disappointed the first team couldn't use my skills, I was impressed they thought I'd fit elsewhere. This made me feel good about the company culture. I then spoke with two more people in mid-November and early December, and I was hopeful. I understand Q4 hiring can be slow, so I wasn't surprised when a final decision wasn't made by mid-December. I remained patient and willing to talk to anyone needed. In total, I interviewed with 7 people, including the recruiter, and did a case study. I last heard from the recruiter the week of 12/11/17, and they said a decision was pending calibration. It's now February 08, 2018, and I still don't know the outcome. I'm guessing I wasn't selected. I respect that companies want to hire the right person and take their time to do so. What's disappointing is the lack of follow-up. After investing 7+ hours in interviews and 10+ hours on a case study, I expected some communication about the decision. Not hearing back after investing so much time is disappointing. The experience started positively and had a good culture feel, but it ended without any closure. I hope my experience is unusual and others have a better outcome.
- Can you tell me about your background?
- What makes you want to work for Convergys?
- How do your skills and background align with the role you applied for?
Analyst
The interview process was quite simple. They started by asking me to introduce myself and then dug a little deeper into my resume, focusing on my skills and background.
- Could you start by telling me a little about yourself?
