First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Convergint.
Project Manager
The interview was with the company's vice president, after I was recommended by another Project Manager. It happened in the evening, after business hours. It was initially by video conference, and then later in person.
- How do you handle pressure?
- Do you have experience?
- How could you contribute to project management?
Talent Acquisition Specialist
I went through the interview process for a TA Specialist position at Convergint, and honestly, it was a really positive experience with everyone I interacted with during recruitment. They did extend an offer, but unfortunately, due to some international bureaucracy, they weren't able to finalize it for me at that time. Despite that, they were really upfront about the whole process and the challenges they were facing. Overall, it was a good experience.
- Can you discuss your previous experience?
- Can you describe a specific situation and how you responded to it?
Buyer
This was a very nice opportunity. The employer first had a selection process and then called me for an initial interview. There were only two phases. The first phase was handled by the Human Resources department, who created a questionnaire for all candidates. The second phase was an interview with the coordinator of the Supply Chain department.
- Regarding the location, were you able to work there?
Project Coordinator
Applied for Project Coordinator 2 at Convergint, San Diego on 10/21. Got contacted by the Operations Manager the next day to set up an interview for 10/26. I prepped by researching the company and organizing my notes. On 10/26, I joined the TEAMS call but waited 15 minutes with no contact. I tried calling but no answer, then emailed them. The manager responded apologizing and asked to reschedule. I gave them alternative times, but then got ghosted. It's disappointing to waste time preparing, especially when I was really interested. A quick heads-up about moving in a different direction or filling the role would've been respectful. I'm confident I'm qualified, so that wasn't the issue. This kind of candidate treatment is unacceptable and companies should be held accountable.
- None: Waited on TEAMS for 15 minutes.
