So after talking to HR to set things up, I had a call with one of the founders. It was about 40 minutes total. He started by telling me about himself and how the company got going. Then I shared my background. After that, he asked some things from my resume, and then some other questions about CFD, like numerical viscosity, CFL condition, implicit scheme, and so on.

I found the job ad on cfd-online and sent in my application via email. Got an email back asking for a phone interview with the CEO. He asked me about five technical questions and a few general things like salary expectations and my current job status. After that, he asked for two references, and I later heard they contacted them. No on-site interview was offered.
