So, I had a first chat with a recruiter which was pretty chill and professional. They told me I was moving on. But then, like, radio silence. No updates, no feedback, nothing after that.

Went through an internal recruitment process with 2 interviews before getting an offer. First was a recruiter call in Singapore, followed by 2 interviews with the local team. The process was quick, under 2 weeks, and communication was good with prompt responses to my questions.

I was contacted by Mariana C. From Hays for an interview for a position to which I applied with convatec directly first and was rejected. After a seemingly infinite process I had an interview and had to wait 1 month to get any type of feedback. After waiting the longest time, I was then let know with great surprise and with a uninterested tone that despite the feedback on my profile being very positive the company isn't sure about my soft skills. After 1 interview of 1 hour spent talking about work related matters and no soft skills related question, the issue is suddenly my soft skills. First it was the company not knowing how they should proceed, and if select a more junior profile rather than a more senior one like mine, then soft skills were called in question. Company gives out an amateur vibe and has no respect whatsoever for the worker who is requested to be prepared at great length but isn't even graced with a feedback that makes any kind of sense after jumping through all the hoops. Overall, a great waste of time that I wouldn't wish on anybody.

The interview started with a video call (about 30 minutes) where we introduced ourselves and I presented my resume. There were no specific questions, just about my studies and background. Then, I was invited for an in-person interview at the company. This was with both the HR representative and the marketing manager. They made me feel comfortable, and it was a very general interview. They asked about how I would manage deadlines, handle overlapping projects, and what role I thought would be best for me in a team. Unfortunately, even though we had a good back-and-forth, I never got any response from the company. I even sent an email to follow up and ask for feedback, but nothing. They really emphasized how there are no limits to the work and that an intern is treated like a regular employee, so you don't leave until your tasks are done (which felt a bit like psychological pressure). It's a shame about the lack of feedback, as they initially made a good impression.
