I applied for the Trainee Software Developer role and first took an online assessment. This test had 5 parts: OOP, DBMS, HTML/JS, two SQL queries to write in 15 mins, and one problem-solving question. I did well, my test cases even passed. After a lot of chasing, HR told me the role was filled and my resume went to their talent pool. A few months later, Contour called saying I'd passed the test ages ago and they needed another Trainee Dev, so they set up an onsite interview, done via MS Teams on their PC. The interviewer barely looked at my resume, surprised I'd interned in .NET despite it being on there. They asked me to code an Overriding example. I explained my code, but got no reaction, so I had to ask if they were listening multiple times. They then asked me to explain it again, while they got busy with other work. I had to ask if they were listening more than 5 times.

So first, they send a link for an online test. This test has a basic coding problem, some SQL queries, and MCQs related to HTML and EB. If you pass that and get shortlisted, you'll have a technical interview, which is mostly about OOP and databases. They'll then focus on the specifics of the position you applied for. This interview usually lasts about an hour, covering pretty much every concept. If you're shortlisted again, there's an HR round that's about 40-45 minutes long. In the first part of this round, they explain the company structure, and then they ask questions about your CV and other things. If you make it through that, you'll have an interview with the team you'd be working with, and sometimes with the offshore supervisor too. It's quite a long process.

I went through 3 rounds for the Sr. Software Engineer role. It started with an online screening, about an hour long, where they hit me with technical questions covering my software stack, general programming concepts, some system design, and database stuff. After that, there was an online test. It had one coding question, a simple one about arrays, two questions asking me to write database queries, and then a bunch of multiple-choice questions on frontend and backend web concepts. Finally, I had the last interview, which was with the division.
