Financial Analyst
I sent my resume and after about 10 days, I got an initial screening. Then there was an assessment, followed by a technical round, and an HR round. Now I am waiting for the final round with the onshore manager. My overall experience so far has been amazing, and I'm really excited about the possibility of joining them.

M&A Research Analyst
So I applied and got an initial assessment within a week. I thought it'd be technical and analytical based on the job description, but it was all about marketing strategy and tools, like asking which ones are free. Weird, but I passed. Then I had a technical interview, but they were super vague about what it would involve, just saying 'technical.' The interviewer was nice, and we covered intro stuff and technical topics. I felt good about it. A week later, generic rejection. I asked for feedback, and HR said they'd let me know. Two weeks passed, I followed up via email. Suddenly, an automated rejection saying they couldn't provide feedback due to high volume. But they reposted the exact same job that day! The shift from promising feedback to an auto-reply was unprofessional. The hiring team seemed good, but HR's process was sloppy and not transparent. It felt mismanaged, especially after I spent a lot of time prepping.

Software Developer
I applied for the Trainee Software Developer role and first took an online assessment. This test had 5 parts: OOP, DBMS, HTML/JS, two SQL queries to write in 15 mins, and one problem-solving question. I did well, my test cases even passed. After a lot of chasing, HR told me the role was filled and my resume went to their talent pool. A few months later, Contour called saying I'd passed the test ages ago and they needed another Trainee Dev, so they set up an onsite interview, done via MS Teams on their PC. The interviewer barely looked at my resume, surprised I'd interned in .NET despite it being on there. They asked me to code an Overriding example. I explained my code, but got no reaction, so I had to ask if they were listening multiple times. They then asked me to explain it again, while they got busy with other work. I had to ask if they were listening more than 5 times.

SQA Trainee
I applied for a Trainee SQA role at Contour in Lahore via Indeed. After about three days, I got a link to take an online test, which I finished in a bit over an hour. Around four days after sending in the test, HR called to say I passed and conducted a quick phone interview. They then set up a technical interview for three days later. This technical interview was pretty intense, lasting about 35 minutes with lots of tough questions. Two days after that, I got an email for an HR interview that mostly focused on my CV and was quite easy. Sixteen days later, I was invited for the final in-person interview with the offshore team, which lasted about 1 hour and 20 minutes and was mainly behavioral and scenario-based, with a few technical points. All earlier interviews were online. Eight days after this final interview, I got feedback and then the job offer. The whole process spanned over 42 days, including one test and four interviews.

- Could you explain the difference between SDLC and STLC?
- What are the different steps involved in the SDLC?
