First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Conti Civil.
Staff Accountant
I went through a recruiter, and had a basic phone interview. Then I was contacted for a second in-person interview, but I had already accepted another position. The recruiter mentioned the position was in the 40-45k range. It wasn't anything too tough, seeing as it's a close-to-entry-level role. It all seemed pleasant and straightforward. They seemed keen on ensuring it was a good match for both of us. The location was good, and it's a respected company.
- The recruiter was basically checking my interest and if I was a good fit.
Administrative Assistant
I applied through a staffing agency and then had a phone call with a recruiter from Conti HR. After that, I had a second interview at the corporate office with the hiring manager and the jobsite manager. A few days later, I got a temp to hire offer. I worked as a temp for 3 months and then got a full-time offer. The whole thing took about 2-3 weeks and everyone was helpful.
- Can you name three things you want to work on improving?
Field Engineer
I got an email for my first interview on April 3rd. In total, I had 3 interviews before they sent me a rejection email. The whole thing took nearly two months. They even started interviewing while still waiting to hear back about project bids. They asked basically the same questions over and over. Honestly, I felt the third interview was totally unnecessary and just a repeat. The waiting time was way too long. The questions were pretty general, mostly about what I'd done before.
- Can you introduce yourself?
- What makes you interested in working in the heavy civil industry?
- Could you describe your job responsibilities?
Intern
The interview process involved three one-hour interviews with managers and engineers who often had a similar career path starting from the internship program. It began with a 1:1 interview through college before advancing to the next round.
- Can you discuss a technical decision you made regarding a job selection?
