First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Contemporary Services Corporation.
Event Staff
It was a large in person event for the interview. The interview was about 10 minutes long and they asked me about my experience in security and if I was comfortable standing for long periods. They also mentioned the guard card process and that they have a program to help people get their cards.
- Do you have prior security experience or a guard card?
Event Staff
The interview was pretty straightforward. They mainly wanted to know if I could handle standing for extended periods and working outside no matter the weather. They also asked about how I'd deal with guests who were upset or drunk. The key was to be friendly and positive in my responses.
- Are you able to stand for extended durations?
- Can you work regardless of the weather conditions?
- What would be your approach to managing a guest who is unhappy?
Accounting Clerk
I had my interview scheduled and did it remotely over Teams. There were two interviewers for the Accounting Clerk role. It lasted about 25 minutes and felt like it went pretty well. They were super nice and seemed into it. But, the problem started when they said they'd let me know in a week. Given how common ghosting is in the job market now, CSC was no different. It's insulting that they'd disrespect you enough to make you take time out of your busy day for a whole interview process, then lie about contacting you on a specific date when they already know they won't. I even sent emails to both interviewers and the hiring manager after a week, and none of them ever replied. So rude. This ghosting culture, even after meeting and talking directly, is really cruel and shows their lack of respect for employees.
- What's your experience with Excel?
Event Manager
I applied and got an email for an initial interview pretty quickly. The next day, I talked to the person who posted the job, and we had a great conversation. They told me I'd have another interview the following week. I followed up mid-week, and they said the next interviewer and the job poster were getting ready and would reach out. I never heard back. I followed up three more times: first for an update, then to ask if the job was filled, and finally just to see if they'd gone another direction. A month and a half after the initial interview, where I was told I was moving on, I got an automated rejection email. The job poster ghosted me and never replied after my first follow-up.
- Can you tell me more about yourself?
