First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Consumer Cellular.
Customer Service Representative
First there was a phone interview where they wanted me to explain how to send a text message step by step. Then there was a group interview with six other people. They asked us to describe real situations we've been in, and each person gave a scenario. We also got a tour of the building.

Customer Service Representative
The interview process wasn't hard, but the company's demands were pretty extreme. They wanted tax documents to confirm my past employment, which can be tough to get. Then, they took back their job offer because I listed my total time at a previous job, not realizing I should have specified that the first few months were through a temp agency. This caused a mismatch on my background check. Even though I could prove the exact dates with paperwork, they wouldn't hire me. It's one thing to reject people who lie, but it's another to reject people who can show proof of everything they put on their application. It feels discriminatory, and honestly, I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone. I might even take this further because the CEO needs to know they're missing out on good, hardworking people.

Senior Customer Service Representative
The interview process was very easy, it’s a group hire. You just apply and they hire a group of you guys and then train you for the position. I love this job and will work here over and over again.
