Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Constellation Energy.
Engineer
Applied on a job board and the process took 3 weeks total. It was a clear and easy process and they followed up within the timeframe they stated. The process involved one interview with a recruiter and one interview with hiring managers.
- Can you describe different scenarios and outcomes using the STAR method?
Engineer
Had an on-campus interview that was about 30 minutes long. They went over my resume and asked me some basic questions about my background, work experience, and what I'm studying now. I was also asked some behavioral questions about teamwork and leadership. It was a pretty relaxed interview overall. Nothing technical or tricky came up. The interviewers were three project managers/engineers, each from a different area. They were all very friendly and nice. Even though I was one of the first few people they interviewed that day, they seemed really enthusiastic to talk to me and weren't rushing at all.
- Could you tell me about your past work experience?
Engineer
Applied last November. HR called in February for a phone screening, followed by an onsite interview. They asked behavioral questions and about projects I was working on. I followed up with HR a week later and got ghosted. 3 weeks after that, another department manager emailed, saying he got my resume from the interviewers and wanted to discuss a position he's hiring for. I replied expressing interest, but again got ghosted. Very disrespectful and unprofessional.
- Can you discuss your past work experience through behavioral questions?
