Brand Marketing Manager
So I had this interview with Constellation Brands and honestly it was a letdown. It kicked off with a recruiter call, then a hiring manager call, followed by a 2-hour onsite panel, and then another 1-hour onsite with the VP of Marketing. Everyone was nice enough, but the communication was just awful, and then they totally ghosted me. I had to travel over 1.5 hours each way, pay for parking, and take time off work for both onsite visits. After the last interview, it was dead silence for 3 weeks, even though I was emailing and calling them weekly. My time felt really disrespected since I got no update. It wasn't until I contacted the recruiting coordinator that the recruiter finally emailed me, but she mixed up the job title and thought my salary expectations were too high, which was wrong. I called twice to confirm we were talking about the right job, and she then admitted she thought the position might have been filled already. I get that early on you might not always get updates, but by the final stage, it's just basic professional courtesy. I was shocked that a company this big could have such a unprofessional hiring process.
- Tell me about a time when you faced a challenging marketing campaign.
- Describe a situation where you had to influence stakeholders to adopt a new marketing strategy.
- Give an example of a time you successfully managed a marketing budget.
Field Marketing Manager
Started with an HR screener about the job details and my history. Then, a phone call with the hiring manager, lots of situational questions. After that, a case study presentation followed by a panel interview, which also had situational questions. The last step was a final phone interview focusing on personality and culture fit. HR kept me updated throughout.
- Describe a situation where you had to improvise.
- Can you share an experience of collaborating with diverse stakeholders?
Marketing Manager
I had an HR screening call first, then I talked to the hiring manager about a week later, followed by a meeting with a more senior manager. After that, I didn't hear back about next steps or my application status, which was a bit disappointing because the whole process took over a month. The interviews themselves were nice and focused on the role and the skills required.
- Can you tell me about your past work experience?
