Sales
Had a few phone calls and then some in person meetings. Got to meet a lot of the team and it gave me a good idea of what the job would be like. I left after meeting several agents, all of the managers and the sales lead.
- Can you tell me about a sale that was hard to close?
Inside Sales Representative
It starts with a call from a recruiter. Then you do a phone interview. The recruiter will call to schedule an in person interview if they are interested. Once there, you listen to someone who works in sales make calls. Then, three interviewers from sales coaches and managers. They ask about you, hobbies, interests, past jobs. They want to know if you're coachable, how you would sell constant contact, how you handle stress and if you're a fun person to work alongside. Questions like who is your mentor, how have you handled a dispute with a past manager, sell me constant contact. Then they will offer feedback and do it again. Use their feedback.
- Tell me about a small business that you are passionate about.
- Can you share about yourself, your hobbies, and your interests?
- Please describe your past job experiences.
Inside Sales Representative
This was a really rigorous interview process for what's considered an entry level job. First, I had two phone interviews, then a video interview. The final round involved a mock sales pitch over the phone. I also had to do a standard personality test and then another timed online exam with arithmetic questions, which I found a bit odd for an inside sales role given I haven't taken a math class since college. After all these interviews, I was told I'd hear back the next day about their decision. I followed up a few days later with the recruiter, but two weeks after that, I got an automated email saying I didn't get the job. Everyone I interviewed with was male.
- Would you be okay with making 150-200 outbound calls daily?
