First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Consolidated Electrical Distributors.
Intern
You'll get a phone call to see if they want to interview you in person. If they do, you'll come in for the interview. After that, you'll take two placement exams. They sent an offer about two weeks later.
- Tell me about the biggest challenge you've faced.
Intern
The interview process had two rounds. First, a recruiter call, and second, a meeting with the division manager. The recruiter interview focused on leadership, sales, and management experience, and it was pretty straightforward since the company is pretty casual and made the interview conversational. The second meeting was also very casual and covered similar topics but less in depth. This session was more about finishing the testing, which included a personality test and Wonderlic test that took about an hour. They seem to take the testing very seriously and it affects their hiring decision.
- Can you describe your sales experience?
- What leadership experience do you possess?
- Could you elaborate on your management experience?
Intern
It was a quick interview with some basic questions. It felt like they were prioritizing the number of interviews over the depth of the conversation. The offers tend to be lower than at comparable companies. I waited in a room for about 15 minutes, and then the interview on campus lasted between 15 and 20 minutes.
- Could you start by telling me a bit about yourself?
