It was a short Google Teams call, about 10-15 minutes. The interview was postponed once and felt really rushed, but it was super fast and simple. I think it was just a recruiter.

I was recommended for this role by a recruitment agency, so they arranged the interviews. There were two interview stages. The first was with the Commercial Controller, and the second was with the CFO. The CFO personally checked my references with my previous employer and then made me an offer the day after the second stage.

Behavioral Presentation

The interview process had 2 stages. The first interview was with two people: one was an apprentice trainer, and the other was from internal HR. The second stage was a business presentation with the CEO and a manager, which felt like a waste of time. I also felt like they were just interested in using my business plan because of the global company I came from. It's quite a small company, and it felt like they don't have a legitimate global reach. However, the office looked nice, and the people seemed nice on a personal note. I also felt like the recruitment agency forced me to see these people and lied a lot about them. Overall, the business seemed like it's going in the right direction.

Behavioral Other

First, I had a phone chat with the recruiter, which was nice. We talked about my experience, and it went well. Then I was invited to meet the team, which included two people, one from the UK and one from the US. That also seemed to go fine, and I was asked to come back to meet the boss for the last stage. Honestly, this was the worst interview ever. Three people liked me and said they wanted me, but then the boss was really rude, saying he only had 20 minutes and I couldn't offer his business anything. He talked to me terribly. His excuse was that he's tough on people to see if they can handle a hard job, which I thought was ridiculous. After he left, someone told me he's always like that and his decisions often get overruled because most of the team wanted me. I was told I'd hear back in a few days, but it took four days to get an email saying I was rejected. Even if I wasn't a good fit, they should have shown more respect and called me. It was a shocking experience and really showed me why the recruitment industry gets a bad rap.
