Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at ConocoPhillips.
Economist
The interview process began with a phone conversation with the hiring manager. She was interested in learning about the types of evaluations I've conducted. Beyond that, the questions were fairly standard. She did mention that they receive a large volume of applications for these positions. Unfortunately, I did not receive a subsequent call and am unsure of the reason.
- Can you describe the types of evaluations you have experience with?
Financial Analyst
For new college grads applying to ConocoPhillips, the interview process is situational. You'll have one interview on campus at your university. If that goes well, you'll have a second interview on campus in Bartlesville, OK. You should hear back about an offer within a few weeks, and you need to accept by late November.
- Describe a conflict you experienced, how you managed it, and the outcome.
Financial Analyst Intern
The interview process was pretty straightforward and entirely online, conducted via Microsoft Teams. I found the opening through my college's job board. Both interviews were with really nice people. I also got the chance to chat with a current financial analyst.
- Can you share your experiences working in diverse environments?
