Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Connect DFW.
Management Trainee
First, there was an interview with someone from HR, mostly about getting to know you, not really about learning about the company. If they liked you, there was a second interview where you went to the office and talked more about the company with an account manager.
- In your own words, where do you see yourself in five years?
Management Trainee
Got an email and a call from someone named Brooke about my resume and then was asked to come in for an interview. The interview was standard and very basic but informative and calm. It wasn't an atmosphere that calls for any tense muscles. Just be professional. After passing that I got asked for a follow-up interview. It was basically a shadowing of a couple employees where you see the company clients, methods of approach and just seeing how you handle a few negative responses.
- The questions asked were pretty easy. Just do the research a bit and you'll be fine.
Management
So basically, almost everyone who's looking for a job gets a call back. It's a two-step interview process. First, you meet with one of the managers, and if they think you're a good fit, they'll call you to set up another interview. Then, you spend a whole day with one of the executives.
- What got you into marketing?
- What aspects of our company appealed to you?
- Can you tell me about your past management experience?
