We exchanged some emails, and then I had an interview where I had to answer computerized questions by recording my responses. After that, I received a note with no explanation stating I was no longer being considered. I found the experience off-putting and rather than being disappointed, I decided not to pursue working at a school that uses such an impersonal method for an interview, especially for work that is so personal and human. It was a negative and annoying experience because they took my time but didn't offer any of their own.

I did an online HireVue interview on my own time, then a phone call, and then I got a contract offer. I applied for a history teacher job at the high school but didn't get it. They offered me a middle school English teacher job instead. It was a late hire, I interviewed by phone the last week of July and got the offer the first week of August. I was out of state, so I didn't do a guest lesson like they sometimes ask.

I had an interview for a teaching position. First, we talked, then I answered some interview questions. After that, I had to teach a class of fourth graders for about 30 minutes, followed by a reflection period. We also took a tour of the school. The whole thing lasted about 2 hours, and everyone was really kind.
