Tech Support
The interview process for this Tier 1 Tech Support role has been really bad. I did my assessments over two weeks ago. A few days later, I got an email asking for my internet speed test results and my availability for a phone call. Then, for over a week, I was expecting calls on five different days, even scheduling exact times with the contact person, but the calls never came. I sent emails back and forth, but rarely got any updates, and when I did, the emails were vague, misspelled, and short. I was about to quit, but then someone finally contacted me. The first interview went fine, and I thought I'd move on. I was told to expect a second phone interview the next day, but I still haven't heard anything, even though I had a scheduled time. It seems like Conduent doesn't take applicants seriously and doesn't care about them. Don't waste your time here; it's been incredibly unprofessional.

So after applying, I had to do 3 skill tests, one for call center stuff, one for computer skills, and a typing test. I aced them all. Then they set up my first phone interview, which was like a basic job overview and availability check. The recruiter used emojis and messaged at like 3 am, which was weird. After that, another recruiter called me. They just read questions and typed my answers without really engaging, super robotic. Felt like an automated system could've done it. Then I had a video interview with the hiring manager. Honestly, it was super unprofessional. He was in a tank top, eating, mumbling, and really rude, like he didn't care at all. I asked about the company and he just said it was a name on his paycheck and he couldn't say much. He said I'd hear back in 2-3 days, but I didn't. I followed up a week later and then got an automated rejection. Definitely avoid this place if you value professionalism.

I applied online and was emailed by a recruiter within two days to finish an assessment and timed typing tests. After I finished, I was emailed for a pre-screening interview with the recruiter. She told me about the position. At the end, she set me up for my second interview by webcam. I was asked about my customer service experience and then had my final interview set up for the next week. I had my final interview this morning by webcam, and 18 minutes after it ended, I got my job offer email.
- What would you do if you had trouble understanding a customer?
