First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Conagra Brands.
Financial Analyst
The whole process took about 6 weeks from application to rejection. It started with a 15-minute recruiter phone screen asking about salary expectations and interest in the role. Then, a 30-minute phone screen with the hiring manager involved going over my resume and questions about favorite classes, learning new programs, and adapting to change. This was followed by three back-to-back 30-minute in-person interviews with a Senior Financial Analyst, the hiring manager, and a Senior Analyst from a different department. They emphasized preparing for STAR behavioral and situation-related questions, researching interviewers, and having questions ready. In total, there were 5 interviews: 2 phone calls and 3 in-person.
- What is your salary expectation?
- What interested you about this position?
- What was your favorite class in school and why?
Financial Analyst
I put in a couple applications online and then hit up a connection I have there. My resume got forwarded to a recruiter. She was awesome, super clear about everything and really seemed invested in finding the right fit for me. Then I had a phone interview with the hiring manager. She was mostly trying to figure out why ConAgra, why this specific job, and what my career goals were. We chatted about my resume and a few behavioral questions, nothing too intense, just kept it real. The next step was a series of internal interviews, five half-hour chats, one of which was with the hiring manager again. She was really nice and used that time for me to ask her questions, about 45 minutes of totally open conversation. The other interviews involved behavioral questions and discussing my previous work history.
- Can you share an instance where you took the initiative to implement a change and what the outcome was?
- What interests you about working at ConAgra?
- Why are you interested in this particular position?
Financial Analyst
Started with a phone call with a Finance Manager about the job. It was really conversational, just seeing if I'd be a good fit. Then, I had a final round at their HQ with three more interviews: two with the Finance team and one with HR. These were also very conversational, mostly going over my resume and asking why I wanted to work there and why I thought I'd be a good fit.
