Account Executive
The interview process consisted of 4 rounds. It started with a phone/conference call with Talent, followed by interviews with the Hiring Manager and the President. Then, an onsite interview was required with the Hiring Manager, President, and the CEO. I found the CEO's questions to be inappropriate and unrelated to the job, which was disappointing given the good rapport I had with the President, Hiring Manager, and Talent VP.
- The CEO asked for my entire life story, from birth until now, and the journey that led me to this point.
Programmer
The interview process involved an online assessment followed by a 60-minute phone call. Before the interview, it's recommended to research the company, understand the role thoroughly, prepare answers for common questions like 'Tell me about yourself,' and think of questions to ask the interviewer. Practicing the interview, preparing your resume and portfolio, planning your outfit, and doing a logistics check are also suggested steps.
- Can you work on weekends?
Product Marketing Director
A recruiter from SMG reached out to me. We had an initial conversation, and the recruiter indicated it went well and that they would schedule a second interview. However, there was a delay. I followed up a few times to see what was happening, and then I was completely ghosted. I feel like when a recruiter ghosts a candidate without wrapping things up, especially after an initial interview and discussing next steps, it says a lot about the company culture. At least have the professionalism to tell me you're not moving forward. I know people are busy, but a quick email or message would suffice. I'm not sure what happened.
- Tell me about your experience with standard product marketing responsibilities.
Technical Support Engineer
The company is pretty good overall, with a decent work environment. There are chances to grow, but sometimes things move slow or aren't clear. Management is supportive, but communication could be better sometimes. Work-life balance is usually respected, and the team is friendly. However, sometimes there are issues with how efficient things are or how resources are used. It's a good place to work if you want stability, but they could improve how they do things.
- Can you tell me about yourself?
