Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at CompuGroup Medical.
Software Engineer
First, a recruiter call, then a call with a (senior) employee, followed by two onsite interviews. In the first interview, it was only the department head, and in the second interview, also the (senior) developer from the phone call. We briefly went through the CV each time and they talked a bit about the open position and the company.
- What experience do you have with modern C++?
Software Engineering Team Lead
The whole application process went perfectly. It started with an initial phone interview and then two in-person meetings on-site. The selection process was very thorough. At first, I was a little surprised by the high number of interviews (there were also short feedback calls between the interviews), but the reason quickly became clear and is, in my opinion, very commendable: Here, besides the know-how and the 'workforce' of the applicant, the person counts too. At CGM, great importance is placed on the new employee also being an enrichment to the company in terms of personality, and this assessment requires time and patience from both sides.
- What is your motivation for applying to CompuGroup?
Senior Software Engineer
5 rounds of interviews including an online test and a pseudo code review and a system design challenge. Not too complicated. If all goes well, there will be an interview with the VP of Engineering.
- There was a modeling question and you were asked to code it at home, followed by a pseudo 'code review'.
- Modeling and coding challenge at home with a pseudo code review.
