I interviewed with an IT consulting firm for this role. The interview process was relatively straightforward, and they didn't ask too many questions because they needed someone quickly. They asked about my certifications and degree, plus some hardware troubleshooting questions.

Technical Behavioral Other

I spoke with a Manager for this IT Technician role. He was acting fake from the very beginning, it was obvious from his accent and how he acted, like he was putting on a fake Western accent. It’s not a good look to pretend like that in an interview. He also asked some IT questions, and it seemed like he wasn't even sure of the answers himself. The salary they were offering was really low, like what someone starting out in IT 15 years ago would get, not someone with 12-15 years of experience at big IT companies. He also asked personal questions that didn't seem relevant to the IT job or have anything to do with my marital status.

I applied and heard back from the recruiter pretty quickly, within a few days. They were really nice and easy to chat with. They answered all my questions and gave me a good rundown of the job and what's needed. They asked some solid technical questions about the role and also my salary expectations. I do wish companies would just share the pay upfront though, because sometimes asking that question can screen you out before you even get a chance.
