Behavioral Technical Coding

Started with a recruiter call to align on what I'm seeking. Then, had a video call with the hiring manager where we talked about my background and some behavioral questions. The next part involved a coding challenge on a platform like LeetCode, done with an engineer and manager, and they also asked me technical questions during this round.

Coding Behavioral Technical System Design

The hiring process for this 6-month internship had 3 stages, all in English. First, an online code test with 3 problems. They were not too hard and could be solved in the 3 hours given, so there was time to care about code quality and performance. Second, a 30-min phone interview with an engineer for 'culture fit'. We talked about my knowledge of the company, my background, and what I wanted from the internship. I got to ask questions and learn about opportunities. Third, a 45-min technical interview with 2 engineers. We discussed a full design problem related to the company's business, which was progressive and well-thought-out. Overall, it was a very good experience that let me learn about the team and get a good feel for the company culture and mission.

Technical Coding Behavioral System Design Presentation

It started with a phone interview, then a coding interview. After that, I had an on-site interview where they asked mostly Python technical questions and some behavioural questions about my past experience. All the questions were reasonable. The final interview involved preparing and presenting a complex system design to four senior engineers. While I enjoyed the challenge, it felt a bit demanding, perhaps a way to get ideas without hiring.

Confirmed questions4 questions
  • How would you scale the system to handle billions of records?
  • Tell me about your past experiences and general behavioral questions.
  • Can you walk me through a complex system design you've worked on?
